It
is unacceptable that we don't have the answers to
certain questions. And it boggles my mind how the
vast majority of people ignore the mysteries of
life.
ivilizations
come and go. Perhaps it's been this way for
tens of thousands of years -- maybe much longer.
And when you consider that the Earth is over 4.5
billion years old, it's not hard to fathom that
somewhere over that deep time, a brief epoch of say
100,000 years trans-pired, where other sentient
beings could have existed, but got lost in the
archeological record. Particularly, when you take
into account giant impacts and other natural
disasters that may have terraformed the surface of
the planet numerous times. Obviously, after any of
these events, all evidence of previous advanced
societies could vanish without a trace -- even
styrofoam eventually disintegrates.
--
Think
about it, while the oldest records (we know of) on
Earth are etched in stone; when rock returns to
magma everything is erased.
--
Considering
the brevity of homo-sapien existence, one would
think that there would be more of a focus on
enlightenment than selfishness and greed. Human
behavior has probably doomed the species (and now
this planet) to an endless, repetitive cycle that
leads to ignorance, self-destruction to ultimate
annihilation.
--
But I
reckon it's not all our fault. Genetics also plays
a big part. Like seedlings that grow into a
predictable forest, so human DNA can pre-determine
the outcome of future generations. Biology, physics
and mathematics can answer all of the eternal
questions. Reality is the religion of the 21st
Century, and scientists are its prophets.
--But
who cares? Does anything really matter? If
everything we build and create is ultimately
destoyed, why bother? Why push the brain beyond the
pursuit of food, sex and shelter? And aren't all of
the religions just support groups for
hypocrits?
--What
else is there... Love, relationships, family,
spirituality, astral projection and ultimate
detatchment from the body? Don't forget, you need a
power source to keep your soul alive and connect
with the Great Cosmic Consciousness. Better figure
out how to tap into (and ride) the Universal
Wavelengths before you kick over.

We
may be standing on the precipice of human
extinction,
-
Then
again, our whole existence may be a computer
simulation, or dream state; or, maybe the known
universe is really just a 'micro-verse' in a petri
dish; or worse -- religions may be true -- and
we're like pets, and we'll have to bow down and
worship some dictatorial diety for all eternity.
